Dubrovnik Old Town

On our full day in Dubrovnik we got up early to get to the beach. All the beaches are very rocky so they usually just pour a flat slab of concrete on top for people to sit on and jump in the water off. It is gorgeous with the big cliffs that look down on the ocean with the clear blue water of the Adriatic Sea. The beach had a little bar so we were able to have our morning cappuccinos looking out at the ocean. We did a walking tour on the history of the town which was very interesting. Dubrovnik since foundation has been ruled by more than 10 states in its time. It is a very interesting complicated history about a little town that has been damaged multiple times and has been able to build itself back up. On the walk back from the old town we stopped for a quick sandwich. We headed back to the beach in the afternoon for another swim. We walked around the old town one more time and went for one more swim before heading back and going for dinner. I had a desperately missed hamburger which was not bad at all. We are off to Korcula tomorrow.
