Rome to Dubrovnik

On my last day in Rome I woke up this time to the little Chinese lady snoring. She was woken up by somebody moving in their bed and she went into the bathroom where she began farting loudly again. I’m not sure what it is with this lady or what she ate but I don’t think she knows how to do things quietly. After hearing farting from the bathroom while lying in bed I was awake for the day. I put in my earbuds to try to drown on the noise but it was ricocheting all over the room. I packed up my stuff and headed down to the common area where I ate the rest of my groceries and had a coffee. I was really happy to see that the place employed guys with Down syndrome to take care of the common spaces.

I walked to the train station and had quite a difficult time finding the right platform for the airport train. It was unnecessary complicated. I got to the airport and was able to board my plane pretty quickly. The flight was quite smooth and wasn’t even that long. When I landed in Dubrovnik I saw Abi waiting for me at the baggage claim. I was very happy to see her and give her a hug. I am definitely happy to be done with my leg travelling alone and getting to do it with my favourite travel buddy. We jumped on the bus into town which was so full that we had to stand in the middle. We had to walk about 45 minutes up what felt like never ending stairs to get to the hostel. Dubrovnik is a stunning town but it is built in some extremely steep cliffs which means there are steps everywhere. There are not many genre gradients in the town. We got to our hostel and were pleasantly surprised that our room had a balcony. We took a quick walk down the old town before dinner. It is so cool all the buildings are sand stone and marble. It is a very gorgeous picturesque place. When we got back from dinner we met the 2 Dutch guys that were also staying in our room and then had some snacks and went to bed.
