Iceland May 29 2022

To all the people who told me it was impossible, the trip was officially considered a success.  The puffins have been seen.  We went out on a nice little trip boat trip out to a close a bird island.  The tour guide was a knowledgeable man that had extensive knowledge about the different birds of the area.  Apparently, puffins can live for up to 40 years and dive almost 50 meters.  They also live at sea for 7 months of the year and return to the same nesting spot every year in the summer for 5 months.  It was probably the best tour we went on of the trip.  We then drove straight to our place in Reykjavik and checked into the hotel.  We were all a bit tired, and I naped from 2 until 4 before we went out for dinner.  I can feel the trip wrapping up, and I am excited to come home before long.  The scenery we have seen has been once in a lifetime, but it is nice to have returned to civilizations.  Tomorrow is our last full day before we leave on Tuesday at 5pm.  I appreciate everyone that has read the blog throughout the trip!  B
