Iceland May 27th 2022

Today has been another lovely day of driving around the country.  We started off in our fjord town this morning, moving on to waterfall hikes throughout the rest of the day.  The theme of the day was the fantastic rock formations that could be found along the walls of the glacier rivers.  We moved on to Lake Myvatn today.  The lake area is one of the most geothermically active places globally.  There were many places to see the sulphur gas rising up from the ground.  The area has a distinctive smell as there are holes in the ground all over the place with gas rising out of them.  Our place is a little wooden cabin with great views of the lake.  We are hoping to go see the thermal baths tomorrow.  Sorry for the short blog, I shared a bed with my brother last night, and he was rolling all over me, so I am a little tired.  Until tomorrow
